HIMALAYA


Himalaya is a mountain chain in Asia, separating the Indian subcontinent from The Tibetan.

Himalaya is a place where the highest mountains in the world, such as Mount Everest and Kanchenjunga, is located. The etymology, Himalaya means “place of residence of snow” in Sanskrit (from HIMA “snow”, and aalaya “dwelling”).

Himalaya lengthwise along the five countries – Pakistan, India, China, Bhutan and Nepal. He is the source of two major river systems of the world – River Indus and Gangga-Brahmaputra River. Around 750 million people live in the area around the flow of water from the Himalaya, which includes Bangladesh.

Geography

Himalaya have a long line of 2400 km, from Nanga Parbat in the west to Namche Barwa in the east. Width varies between 250-300 km. Himalaya consists of three parallel rows, and the height is set according to the geological age.

Impact on politics and culture
